A rear window can’t be repaired – it has to be replaced
Unlike the windshield, the rear window is usually made of tempered glass. When it breaks, it shatters into small pieces so that nobody gets hurt. It also means it can’t be repaired – the only fix is a new rear window.

Why does a rear window shatter into small pieces?
Because it’s made of tempered glass, which breaks into small pieces without sharp edges. It’s a safety feature – but it means the rear window can’t be repaired, only replaced.
Will the heating work after fitting?
